The Brief
NETbuilder designed and implemented a complete network solution based on The Kiln's very specific business requirements. It had to be cloud based as much as possible, state-of-the-art, super-fast and reliable. Key elements of the solution included a 500Mbit/s managed Leased Line, a high speed and high density managed WiFi 5 network, Cat6 wired back up cabling, UPS battery back-up and Cloud based door access control.
Our Approach
Working very closely with the project team, we made sure the requirements were clear and achievable.
We conducted in-depth WiFi surveys to all areas of the building to identify the optimum locations for their wireless access points. This presented a unique challenge, considering the building used to be Worcester’s main Police Station. We also offered multiple options for Internet connectivity and managed the application for the Gigabit Voucher Scheme and presented a fully cloud operated door access system. NETbuilder were aware of how important a fast and reliable wireless connection was to The Kiln. That is why we made sure that we designed and implemented a solution that would simply work. Using cloud managed software, we ensured that all aspects of their wireless network could be monitored and updated remotely as and when needed.
The Result
