Holywell Primary

The Brief 

Holywell Primary School, Worcs contacted NETbuilder to discuss their IT support requirements as they were very disappointed with the service provision from the existing provider.
Initial discussions with the Headteacher indicated a lack of strategic support, a failing IT infrastructure and the supply of inexperienced IT staff as the main reasons for their dissatisfaction.

Our Approach

NETbuilder proposed a cost-effective "On-site" support package which the school accepted in early 2020.
NETbuilder proceeded to complete an extensive IT infrastructure audit followed by recommendations to resolve underlying IT issues and to upgrade obsolete WiFi and network components. Netbuilder have also worked closely with key stakeholders to develop an IT strategic roadmap.

The Result

Many of the underlying issues have been resolved by NETbuilder's on-site technicians and the level of support to the school has proven to be very effective. Plans are in place to upgrade the core server and to replace the aging WiFi network.

We came across from our previous IT provider almost a year ago, and the difference in the quality of what we have received, both in terms of the technician visits, phone support and procurement has been exceptional. Nothing has been too much trouble, technical issues are dealt with very quickly, staff are concerned and interested, and Tom our technician has worked exceptionally hard on site to unscramble what he has inherited - there were many gaps and problems that he uncovered that have been dealt with and ironed out. I feel that Tom really knows the school well now and has a real handle on the system and equipment here - something that I never felt with our previous provider. Tom and Ryan have been very honest and constructive about what is in place and how best to move forwards, which I am very grateful for.
